Consumer Health Data Privacy

This page describes how Cycle Diary handles consumer health data, as required by Washington’s My Health My Data Act and Nevada’s SB 370. It covers only that. The full privacy policy is here.

What consumer health data is involved

Only what you type into the app: period and cycle dates, flow intensity, moods, symptoms, sexual activity, notes, and pregnancy dates if you use them. Together with your cycle and period length settings, that is the complete list.

The app collects nothing on its own. There is no account, no sign-up, no profile, no advertising identifier, and no location, contacts, camera, microphone or health-sensor access of any kind.

How it is collected and used

You enter it by hand. It is used to draw your calendar and history, and to work out predictions for your next period and fertile window from your own past entries. That calculation happens on your device.

It is not used for advertising, marketing, profiling, research or any other purpose.

Who it is shared with

Nobody. We do not sell consumer health data, have never sold any, and do not share it with affiliates, processors, advertisers or any other third party.

The app contains no networking code of its own. If you are signed in to iCloud, your entries sync to your private iCloud storage under your own Apple Account, with the health fields encrypted so that Apple stores only ciphertext. We cannot read that data and we receive no copy of it.

Nothing is disclosed to law enforcement or anyone else, because there is nothing held to disclose.

Your rights

You can see, correct and export everything at any time from within the app (Settings → Data → Export data writes a CSV file wherever you choose).

You can delete everything with Settings → Data → Delete all data. That erases the entries, the settings and the copy in your own iCloud, and it cannot be undone. Deleting the app removes the local copy as well.

Because no consumer health data reaches us, there is no separate deletion request to make — but if you want confirmation of any of this, write to sinastudio.house@gmail.com and you will get an answer.
